Conflicting Health Care Rulings: Now What?

Thus far, three federal courts have ruled in favor of the Affordable Care Act (commonly referred to as the “ACA,” health care reform or “Obamacare”) and two federal judges ruled against, the most recent of which ruled the entire law to be unconstitutional. On January 31, 2011, Florida Federal District Judge Roger Vinson issued a 78-page opinion, examining at length past Supreme Court precedent that the individual mandate is unconstitutional because it is an abuse of Congressional power.

Employer Notice Childrens Health Insurance

As a reminder, employers sponsoring group health plans are required to notify employees of potential opportunities currently available through the state for group health plan premium assistance under Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program ("CHIP").
