$5 Flu Shots At Cedar Health And Wellness Center

The Cedar Health and Wellness Center in Salinas is offering flu shots to all Western Growers Assurance Trust (WGAT) participants and their covered dependents for just $5. Walk-ins are welcome, or to make an appointment, please call (831) 422-0230. Cedar Health and Wellness Center is open Monday and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is located at 955 Blanco Circle, Suite E (in the Harkins Center).

Wgat Receives Waiver Under Health Reform Law

Western Growers Assurance Trust (WGAT) has been granted a one-year waiver from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) exempting it from the $750,000 annual limitation requirement in the new health care reform law. All participants affected by the waiver will be notified by WGAT and the specific dollar amount of the annual limit and the benefits to which the limit applies will be provided. Under the health care reform law, employers/carriers must move toward coverage that sets no annual limits on essential benefits.
